Welcome to the official digital hub for the Association for the City of Westchester. We are a grassroots movement of neighbors from Westchester, Playa del Rey, and Playa Vista united by a single vision: local control.

For too long, our community has been treated as an afterthought by the sprawling bureaucracy of Los Angeles City Hall. Whether it's the implementation of SB 9, the management of our schools, or the allocation of our tax dollars, the decisions that impact our daily lives are being made downtown, far removed from our neighborhoods.

The Path Forward

Secession is not an easy process. As we saw with the San Fernando Valley's attempt, there are significant hurdles. However, we have a strategic advantage. With a population of nearly 40,000 and a massive commercial tax base driven by the Silicon Beach tech hub, we have the financial power to sustain an independent city.

Our immediate next step is the Comprehensive Fiscal Analysis (CFA). This state-required study will independently verify our financial viability. We are currently raising funds to commission this vital report.
